Private Equity Foundations Practicum

Live, Cohort-Based Practicum Focused on Real Private Equity Decision-Making.

This program is designed for participants who want to move beyond self-paced study and engage in structured, live analysis of how lower-middle-market private equity transactions are actually evaluated from start to finish.

Participants work through full-cycle deal case studies — from CIM review and investment memo preparation through structuring, diligence framing, closing mechanics, and post-close strategic planning — in a rigorous small-group environment.

The curriculum mirrors the analytical standards of selective professional settings and is delivered in a structured cohort format.

How The Program Works

Fit & Enrollment

Enrollment is reviewed to ensure alignment with the cohort. A brief 1:1 assessment session is conducted at the outset to evaluate technical baseline and set expectations.

Cohort Structure:

  • Small cohorts (limited seats)
  • 8-week structured program
  • Weekly live sessions (approximately 90 minutes)
  • Instructor-led, agenda-driven analysis

Session focus includes:

  • Deal screening frameworks
  • Investment memo analysis (qualitative thesis + LBO)
  • Risk and downside evaluation
  • Valuation judgment (beyond spreadsheet mechanics)
  • Capital structuring considerations
  • Structured discussion and moderated critique

The emphasis is on developing sponsor-level thinking — not memorization.
